Congress? Accountable? No!

Check this out from today's news:

Members of Congress hope to regain some sense of trust by subjecting themselves to tougher penalties for insider trading and requiring they disclose stock transactions within 30 days.

my comment:
Uh... are you guys sure about this? That's an awful big responsibility... making sure ya'll don't take advantage of the American people and enrich yourselves at our expense. Especially after having done so for as long as anyone can remember. Maybe it'd be best if ya'll started weenin yourselves a little at time rather than tryin to go cold turky, eh?

More from the news:

"We can start restoring some of the faith that's been lost in our government by taking this common sense step of making members of Congress play by the exact same rules as everyone else," said Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., who with Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., wrote the bill "We must make it unambiguous that this kind of behavior is illegal."

my comment:
Heh, Ya think? Lol, wow.. look out - looks like we've got a couple of smart ones in there eh? Um... piece of advise for ya's if ya don't mind my offering it: If ya'll really want to start restoring some of the faith that's been lost in our government then fucking step down and get the fuck out of Washington asap! And that means every last one of ya.

Then/Than

A quick rant: I don't have perfect grammar. I'm well aware of that. And I'm certainly no spelling bee champ. I'm aware of that too, but frankly I don't really care. Well, I do... but it isn't really all that important to me. So it isn't a big deal. But there's one mistake that really drives me freekin crazy because way too many people make it way too often: Incorrect use of the words "then" and "than". Fer f#$k sakes people, can we please learn the difference between those words some day and at least try to start using them correctly? Bah!

Old Intense Promos & Flyers

Today I found some old Intense promo pics and flyers, so I scanned and uploaded them to the band pics section. The promos are from 1985 (the earliest known group shot of Intense)and 1988. The flyers are from 1988 and there's one from either 1989 or 1990. :)

Bad Drivers!

Driving. It's expensive. And EXTREMELY dangerous. We don't usually think of it like that because it's become such a huge part of our every day lives, but that's how it really is. But of all of the things that are inherently flawed about driving, there are two things some people do (or don't do) that frustrate me so much I can't help but appreciate the fact that I'm not immortal. Now, don't get me wrong. I love my life. And I have no desire for it to any sooner than it has to. It's just that the thought of sharing a planet with these assholes forever and ever is utterly terrifying. Here's what I'm talking about: 1. People who don't bother using their blinker. If you happen to be part of that crowd just know that you are an asshole. Period. And I'm not talking about the person who occasionally forgets to use their blinker.. it's the people who are too stupid to do it or who simply can't be bothered because they're lazy or whatever that I'm talking about. You know who you are. 2. Drivers who cruise side by side with another vehicle on a 2 lane road (both going in the same direction) in front of you and can't be bothered to speed up or slow down and let you get around them. Some probably do this on purpose and others might simply not be aware that you're behind them - either way it's bullshit. If you're one of those people please know that I intend to exile you from the country forever when I become Emperor!

Woah!

Um, after the tragedy in Arizona last week I think it's probably safe to say that the shooting rampages are getting a bit out of hand these days. Calm down people. Jesus!

NYC

I traveled to New Jersey last week on business, but got to take a touristy tour thing around NYC for a day and check it out. Um, that place is freaky!

Stang!

I got lucky last week and found another limited edition 1992 lx 5.0 convertible mustang EXACTLY like my old one - with 2 exceptions: 1. It's an automatic whereas my old one was a stick, and 2: This one has only 36,000 miles on it whereas my old one had over a hundred. This one is in absolutely pristine condition. Now beat it. It's time to drive some stang!

Dusty Springfield

Today I came to the conclusion that the greatest singer who ever lived was Dusty Springfield. She owns me. Period.

New songs available!

I finished and uploaded 2 new Electric Punishment songs: "Narcissist" and "Bent". Both of them turned out great in my opinion but Narcissist is especially cool because a few friends helped out on that one. Specifically, Rich Puttbach helped me with the final mixdown and Mark Woolsey and Steve Ludlow both helped with the background vocals. Thanks guys... sounds killer! :)

Intense CD

The new Intense CD is now scheduled for release on June 15th. I know, I know, it's been pushed back several times now, but isn't that what always happens? What can I say... this wasn't the easiest project to produce! In any case, it sounds really good and Steve Smyth's (Testament, Nevermore, Vicious Rumors, The EssenEss Project & currently Forbidden) leads are blistering!

Peace of mind

It's no secret that I have a propensity to express my feelings on politics and things of that nature through my songs. Anyone who knows my music can tell you that. However, I can assure you that I...

Well, I uh, um...

Jeez, I'm sorry... I forgot what I was going to say.

Never mind.

20 years!

On 3/22/86, I did my first show with INTENSE at the River Theater in Guerneville, CA, opening for Death Angel. Woah! That was 20 years ago! What am I some kind of a fucking dinosaur over here? Is that what you're sayin?

A blast from the past: Intense!

Many many moons ago I was singer for a really cool band called Intense. Intense was a very important part of my life and we accomplished some pretty amazing things, most of which I am still very proud and have fond memories of. I have uploaded some rare video footage to share some of those memories with you, which can be found in the media section of this site. :)
